food feud

I’m A Celeb fans reckon they’ve caught Nick Pickard tucking into a PANINI in camp – did you spot it?

It's well known that no additional food is to provided to the stars, beyond rice and beans and what is won in the Bucktucker Trials.

I'M A Celeb fans were left baffled when Nick Pickard appeared to be tucking into a panini during last night's episode.

Hollyoaks star Nick, 48, looked like he was holding a sandwich in a brown bag, according to perplexed ITV1 viewers.

This came as a particular shock as it's well known that no additional food is to provided to the stars, beyond rice and beans and what is won in the Bucktucker Trials.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one person asked, "Is that Nick eating a sandwich?" while another added, "Was that a sandwich in #nick's hand?"

Someone else questioned, "What did Nick have in his hand? looked a bit like a sandwich/burger in brown paper."

But an insider told The Sun: This is the bags the rice comes in. You saw Nigel using one as a bin bag yesterday cleaning up camp.

Later in the installment, Nick was the fourth to be given the boot from the show.

His I'm A Celebrity camp exit sparked "fix" rumours from stunned fans after it came down to him and This Morning presenter Josie Gibson, 38, in the bottom two.

Viewers have since accused the commercial network of showing 'bias' by 'protecting' the star who anchors their flagship daytime show.

Yet Nick - who stuck it out for 19 days in the jungle - didn't seem to have any of the drama on his mind as he flashed a huge smile while greeted by his partner, Sarah Corrin.

And on today's Good Morning Britain, the soap favourite told how he was "glad to be out" of camp.

Nick was chatting to entertainment anchor Richard Arnold as the pair perched by a table and two colourful cocktails.

He candidly said: "It's a great experience and very overwhelming. I am glad to be out.

"Half of you wishes you could make it and get to the final because you're honoured to be asked but the other half is thinking counting down the days, and if I come out now I have six days in a lovely place.
