The Chase’s Paul Sinha hits back at fans in brutal put down as they claimed stars get an ‘easy ride’ on celeb spin-offs
THE Chase quizzer Paul Sinha has issued a brutal put down to viewers who claimed that the stars get an 'easy ride' on the celeb spin-offs.
There has long been theories from fans that the A-listers are asked 'easy' question when they appear on The Celebrity Chase in order to drum up some cash for charity.
Each star player opts to play for a cause close to their heart with many of them going onto the difficult to achieve big prize.
It has led many to speculate that bosses purposefully allow celebs easier questions as a result of where the prize fund is going.
However, Paul Sinha, a staple of the ITV quiz hit since 2011, has dispelled such speculation and rumour.
Taking to Twitter to defend the charity specials, he insisted: "A quiz is a quiz."

He went onto add: "People who ask us if the Chasers play as hard when we’re doing the celeb shows."
Paul then added an example of when he prevented Rachel Johnson from taking home the jackpot, bluntly writing: "With two seconds to go, I once prevented Rachel Johnson from winning £15k for Parkinson’s UK. A quiz is a quiz."
It comes after fans were left moaning that Paul's co-star Mark Labbett had an easy run of questions in a 'rigged' final as the prize pot stood at £100,000.
Four players were desperate to bag the six-figure jackpot and amassed a run of 18 steps.

Having got just one question wrong, some fans felt that the round was unfair as they suggested he was offered up 'easier' questions in a bid to stop the team taking home the cash.
Unhappy The Chase viewers took to X - formerly Twitter - to have their say on Mark's win.
One wrote: "Why do the chasers get easier questions??? #thechase."
Another echoed: "When TV bosses decide that’s just too much money for anyone to win. #TheChase #fixed."
As a third suggested that children would have been able to answer Mark's questions as they penned: "The Chase is a joke. Professional quizzers getting asked the most ridiculous questions that [my] kids could guess. #thechase." [sic]
A fourth raged: "#thechase is a complete fix when there is big money."
