Mystery as Nella Rose ‘pulls out of I’m A Celeb interview’ – and Lorraine Kelly takes a cheeky swipe at star
The TV presenter spoke out after she became a 'no show'
MYSTERY surrounds I’m A Celebrity evictee Nella Rose after she was a no show for an interview on Tuesday’s Lorraine.
Scottish host Lorraine Kelly, 64, hinted at a huge change in her programme’s schedule during the preview on Good Morning Britain.
Taking a cheeky swipe at the MTV broadcaster, 26, she said: “It’s a shame she isn’t talking to anyone this morning, but oh never mind.”
Nella was second to be evicted from I’m A Celebrity’s 2023 series last night.
She was later cheered on by Frankie Dettori – the first campmate to be given the boot – as she arrived at the show’s hotel.
Later on in her Lorraine show, the ITV anchor specifically confirmed she had been due to chat to the Catfish UK presenter.
She said: “‘She [Nella] was going to join us this morning but she has decided not to give any interviews today.
“But we might catch up with her later.”
Lorraine then said she “sincerely” wished Nella the best and hoped she was having a “lie in.”
An ITV insider told The Sun told how Nella “has not refused to do any press.”
Viewers were left shocked last night when it was revealed that Marvin Humes and Nella were the two at risk.
After her exit, Nella spoke to presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly about the disagreements she had on the show with fellow campmates Fred Sirieix and Nigel Farage
She had clashed with First Dates star Fred after he remarked that he was old enough to be her father.
Nella, who has lost both her parents, did not say anything at the time but later confronted Fred, 51, saying: “Don’t bring up my dead parents, are you stupid?”
Asked about the clash, Nella said: “I just feel like in the middle of an argument, or in the middle of a disagreement, you shouldn’t bring up sensitive topics.
“And I feel like, in the middle of a disagreement, he brought up a sensitive topic. I didn’t understand why he would do that.”
Asked if it might have been a misunderstanding, she said: “It could have been, but things are so heightened in the jungle that everything is a big thing.”
Nella is the second celebrity voted off the show after jockey Frankie left during Sunday’s instalment, having received the fewest votes from the public.
Restaurant critic Grace Dent and actress Jamie Lynn Spears, who is sister to popstar Britney, both left the show before the eliminations, on medical grounds.
