Amanda Holden abandons plans to move to US as she buys mansion in ‘Britain’s Beverly Hills’
DESPITE rumours AMANDA HOLDEN was relocating to the States, it looks like she is moving to “Britain’s Beverly Hills” instead.
I can reveal that the presenter is about to buy a £7million mansion in the sought-after village of Cobham, Surrey, after flogging her giant house in South West London for a cool £5million.
She will be nestled in a high-class district, which has been home to everyone from Elton John and Ronnie Wood to Andy Murray and Kate Winslet.
An insider said: “She has worked her way up to become one of TV’s most successful stars and now she’s reaping the rewards.
“Only the most wealthy and ambitious people tend to be able to live there and she’ll certainly be in good company with bankers, footballers and rock stars.
“Amanda is used to a life in the city, and moving to Surrey means she’ll be able to live more of a semi-rural existence without giving up the convenient commute into the capital where most of her work takes her.”

The Sun reported earlier this year that the Britain’s Got Talent judge could be eyeing up a move across the Atlantic to explore different avenues.
But she already has a highly lucrative career here to juggle.
As well as her high-profile role on BGT, she’s also a DJ on Heart radio and is making other TV shows, including her travelogue with comedian pal Alan Carr on the BBC and her Sky History documentary Sex: A Bonkers History.
She also enjoys lucrative deals with brands including fashion retailer Lipsy and reportedly made more than £1million in a year from selling her homeware range on TV shopping channel QVC.

The pair met at this year’s Glastonbury festival and they spent James’ birthday together earlier this month, bathing in wine at a spa in London.

“He even travelled to Blackpool to watch him perform there. They are made for each other.”

Lucy Holme's truths
LUCY Worsley muscles in on the truth about Sherlock Holmes creator Arthur Conan Doyle for her new documentary series.
The Unsolved Histories presenter, who admits to having a soft spot for the fictional detective, is shocked to discover the author’s obsession with bodybuilding as she investigates for her show on BBC Two.
It led the writer to keep a Bridget Jones-style diary of his weight all while following strict workout regimes from 19th-century fitness guru Eugen Sandow.
And Lucy will reveal how Arthur went on to judge the UK’s first posing show in 1901, where he picked from brawny men flexing muscles in leopard-print pants.
Lucy jokes: “If Sherlock Holmes had been about the brains, this was all about the brawn.”
Killing Sherlock: The Case of Conan Doyle airs Sunday at 9pm.
