Coronation Street fans demand Gemma Winter is axed after she puts her kids at risk again

CORONATION Street fans are demanding Gemma Winter is axed after she lashed out in tonight’s episode.

The mum of five - who is played by actress Dolly-Rose Campbell in the ITV soap - has been banned from being alone with any of her children after social services became concerned over her behaviour towards stepson Joseph.

She had repeatedly rushed him to hospital with complaints he was unwell.

And then last week she poisoned him - accidentally, she claimed - with essential oils, landing him in agony in hospital.

Social services became involved and Gemma has been told she cannot spend time alone with the kids - or they will be removed and placed into care while the investigation is carried out.

But tonight Gemma decided to feel sorry for herself after her mum was sent to prison for three months for fraud.

She tracked down a witness to Bernie’s crimes and tried to force him to retract his statement before smashing up his van.

Dev and Chesney pulled her away and while Chesney sorted her mess sent her home with Joseph.

Once again Joseph complained of a headache and so Gemma went to get him some paracetamol but as she did the social worker walked in and demanded to know where Chesney was.

Warned yet again that if she breaks the rules again her kids will be taken into care, Gemma acted as if she was the victim and fans have simply had enough.

They want her axed from the cobbles - by any means necessary.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one said: “F*** off Gemma, I can’t be bothered with you.”

Another said: “That Gemma’s a awful moaner.”

“No one puts me off having kids more than Chesney and Gemma,” added a third.

A fourth commented: “I can’t stand loud mouth Gemma – so classless – at this point I actually feel bad for Chesney.”

However, a couple of soap fans came to Gemma’s defence. 

“Awww I feel for Gemma,” one soap fan said. 

“I think its pathetic storyline about Gemma she made one mistake boom she had social services on her so wrong,” added another.
