Strictly fans fear for show favourite as semi-final performances are announced saying ‘it’s a death sentence dance’
STRICTLY Come Dancing fans are worried for Layton Williams because of the tricky dance he's been landed with.
The 29-year-old has been tasked to perform the Rumba and the Charleston alongside his pro partner Nikita Kuzmin.
One fan took to Reddit and wrote: "A Layton and Nikita Rumba and Charleston, that is literally all I could have wanted, just hope this rumba isn't a death sentence like it is for so many other contestants.
"If done right I think it could be really beautiful."
Another added: "Layton should nail a Charleston. I’m looking forward to his rumba with Nikita too, might show a softer side that I’ve been looking forward to.
"Though I can’t shake what Nikita said at Blackpool about having found a ‘brother’ in Layton - I think it’s gonna be hard to buy into a romantic narrative now for the rumba."
Strictly
There's been no end of praise for Layton on the competition show.
Strictly has been subject to a fresh "favouritism" row after Motsi Mabuse broke down while praising Layton Williams.
The much-loved BBC show judge was clearly emotional as she flapped her hands around to try to stop crying.
Motsi, 42, was clearly touched by the dramatic routine and stood up to applaud.
She told the pair: "Ooh wow," before pausing to hold her emotions.
The judge added: "I have to commend both of you because all of this negativity you have been receiving and to shine on week on week, on week on week."
