From the off, it seemed as though his game looked set to go awry when he found himself stuck with box 13.

Speaking to show host Stephen Mulhern, he confessed he would have never chosen to play with that box as 13 had not "been good to [him]" in the past.

Despite his instant reservations, Stephen helped to guide Scot Stevie through his first round.

However, an awkward moment led to the host issuing a warning to one of the players as they appeared to clash over what was in the box.

Stevie had asked Brian to reveal exactly what was inside number 11.

Although, Brian appeared unimpressed as as bluntly muttered: "I don't think it's gonna be a blue."

After his swipe, Stephen was taken aback as he barked: "Alright, Brian!"

Stevie insisted that he play on by Brian opening his box, however it seemed that he was right all along.

Dishing up the ultimate blow after his snub, Brian revealed that he had the top prize of £100,000 in the box.

The audience were left stunned as they gasped at the biggest offer being wiped out so soon.

As the game went on, Stevie enjoyed an up and down round, including being offered just £900 at one point by the Banker.

He was left desperate for the cash in order to pay for a wedding to his girlfriend of 10 years as well as enjoy a family holiday.

With just three boxes left in play - £750, £10,000 and £75,000 - he accepted a whopping offer of £24,600 from the Banker.

Stevie knocked out the £750 next leaving him guttered as his final offer came in at an eye-watering £49,000.

Box 13 went onto have £75,000 leaving Stevie wishing he'd have played on.

Despite the unfortunate ending, he insisted it was "fine" and he was left "over the moon" with the cash he did manage to nab.
