Strictly Come Dancing star Bobby Brazier is being lined up for huge new career as offers flood in

BOBBY BRAZIER could be swapping the East End for the West End once Strictly finishes.

I can reveal the young actor is wanted by a string of musical chiefs after delivering sensational performances during his time on the BBC One show.

They see him as perfect leading man material and treading the boards could be a natural progression for the star, who has already made his name both in modelling and on the small screen.

A TV insider says: “Bobby’s time on Strictly certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed by ­theatre bosses.

“They really feel he has star quality and would put bums in seats, given his huge popularity.

“Bobby’s so graceful on the dancefloor and they believe he wouldn’t look out of place on a big musical production, or even a play.”

Bobby and his pro dance partner Dianne Buswell are currently fourth favourites to lift the Glitterball ahead of tomorrow’s quarter finals, which coincides with Musicals Week.

He wowed fans during last weekend’s show, performing an emotional tribute to his late mum Jade Goody, which reduced judges Shirley Ballas and Anton De Beke to tears.

Bobby wouldn’t be the first Strictly star to move into musicals after a stint on the show.

Fellow soap star Danny Mac, a 2016 finalist, has starred in On The Town and Pretty Woman, while Louise Redknapp starred in Cabaret and Grease since she competed in the 2019 series.

And Albert Square favourite Rose Ayling-Ellis, the 2021 winner, went on to make her West End debut in As You Like It.

If Bobby does end up in ­theatreland, it would be a far more cheery place than Walford.

Gold onto your hats

THE opening number on tomorrow’s musical special is a golden wonder.

The sensational performance sees Karen Hauer do a solo dance before being joined by the rest of the pros.

Wearing glittery suits and bowler hats, the Strictly troupe deliver a routine inspired by Broadway hit show A Chorus Line.

And as if that is not enough gold, the set designers even give the dancefloor the Midas touch.

Think we’ll all need to be wearing shades for this bobby dazzler.

Wags game for docu

THE wives and girlfriends of some of the Premier League’s most notable footballers have signed up to put their lives on show in a new fly-on-the-wall series.

Prime Video will follow the women, whose names are yet to be announced, during the summer break and transfer window in Married To The Game.

And the docu-series seeks to prove that while the “confident and independent” Wags look to have ultra-glamorous lives on the outside, it is not all as it seems.

Instead, the six-parter will document the lows as well as the highs including the struggle to find a work-life balance, the baby blues, relationship stresses and the strain of being under the media spotlight.

Featuring weddings, parties and international photoshoots, viewers can expect “rare access” to their homes and an intimate behind-the- scenes look at the couples as they navigate major life changes in the weeks leading up to a new season.

Married To The Game launches on Prime Video next year.

Prime killer hunt

PRIME Video is launching a gripping new thriller which tells the story of a harrowing true crime.

Three-part series Dead In The Water will recall the ­disappearance of young Brits Chris Farmer and Peta Frampton.

The loved-up ­couple, both in their mid-twenties from Chorlton, near Manchester, went missing weeks after travelling to Central America in 1978.

Their bodies were later found tied up and attached to engine parts in the Caribbean Sea off the coast of Guatemala.

But there were no clues as to how the backpackers ended up in the water.

Reports at the time said they had befriended a mystery ­American man and his sons before the murders.

With no trace of the killer, and UK investigations going cold, a four-decade long manhunt was launched by the victims’ families to find out the truth.

And along the way, they were met with shocking discoveries.

Dead In The Water comes out next year.

Ellie to be Belle of ball

ELLIE Leach and Vito Coppola are the pairing from this year’s series to spark the most talk of a potential romance.

And the duo will struggle on this weekend’s show to dampen speculation that they’re dating, when they will be dressed up as one of the theatreland’s most famous couples.

They will appear as Belle and Gaston from Beauty And The Beast, where they’ll be dancing the Quickstep.

A show source said: “Ellie and Vito have so much chemistry no wonder everybody thinks something is going on.

“The fact they’ll be getting so close as Belle and Gaston, and no doubt embrace at the end, won’t stop the rumours.”

The pair are currently bookies’ favourites to win.

Nigel to Popp up

NIGEL Harman knows all about Cockneys, given his time starring in EastEnders.

So he’ll be a natural dressing up as Bert from Mary Poppins for his Charleston tomorrow.

His partner Katya Jones will obviously be dressed up as Mary.

Meanwhile, Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin are performing a Paso Doble to Backstage Romance from Moulin Rouge! the musical while Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe will dance the foxtrot to For Good from Wicked.

Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell should bring down the house performing – (I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life from Dirty Dancing, as a salsa.

That famous lift will surely be at the heart of it.
