Towie’s Tommy Mallet reveals heartbreaking reason he’s sold £200k luxury car amid cost of living crisis
TOWIE favourite Tommy Mallet has revealed the heartbreaking reason he's sold his £200K luxury motor.
The fashion brand owner, 31, opened up on his desire to be "relatable" and a "normal person" in a candid chat showcased on TikTok.
Dad-of-one Tommy wore a jumper from his own brand Mallet London during his chat on the Motive Mentality channel about his numerous high-end vehicles.
The TOWIE favourite - who showcased his first Ferrari just last month - told the host how he has changed his ways to avoid "rubbing it in."
He was asked: "How come you sold up all your cars then? G Wagon gone as well?"
Tommy - who is a self-made multi-millionaire courtesy of the success of his shoe firm - bluntly replied: "Everything is gone."

He explained: "It's to have a re-set.
"And ... I'll tell you the actual reason behind it.
"So when the fuel prices are going up and me putting petrol in the car bruv, it makes no difference to me money-wise.
"If you're driving a £200K car, doesn't matter does it?"
He continued: "When I pull up at the petrol station and you've got my man struggling to put a tenner in his car to get to work, do I want to be pulling up in the £200K motor jumping out, putting it in the csr, jumping back in.
"No man, that's not who I want to be. I want to be relatable.
"I want to be able to come across as a normal person.
"I've done well, and I've got money, but in these next few years that are going to be tough, I don't want to be rubbing it in people's faces.
"Because that's when the hate starts man. I don't want that."
Tommy, clearly passionate about his reasoning, reinforced: "I want to be relatable.
"I say hello to everyone where I live in the mornings, and I go in my local caff and I talk to everyone."
Tommy, who shares son Brody, two, with fiancee Georgia Kousoulou, launched Mallet London in 2015 and last year it was reported the brand raked in more than £20m.
Earlier this year, he splashed out on a custom-made Ferrari.
At the time, he even took his son to browse the sports cars with him, after the youngster asked to go "to the Ferrari shop".
In another photo, he shared his son gazing at a black Ferrari in the showroom.
