P.E teacher Matty finished top of the class to become the latest Great British Bake Off champion.
The amateur baker, from Cambridgeshire, beat rivals Dan and Josh in Bake Off's all-male final.
Prue Leith said his showstopper was "on the wonk" and earlier he served raw cake to Prue and Paul Hollywood.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one viewer said: "Surely Matty hasn't actually pulled this off? His Technical was partly raw?"
Another said: "Genuinely gobsmacked .. thought it would be Josh!"
And a third moaned: "I think Matty is great, but no way he should have won it over the course of the final, that's incredibly harsh on Josh."

And Matty admitted afterwards he very nearly didn’t appear on the 14th series because he constantly ignored pleas by pals to enter.
He said: “Everyone said you should go on Bake Off and I thought it was a throwaway comment and never really listened to it.
“I never thought I would be on the show let alone win it.”
And his victory was endorsed by both judges Prue and Paul in the end, with the latter admitting he was blown away by Matty’s chocolate cake.

Prue said: “I have never met a more cheerful, smiling, uncomplaining and willing baker.
“He was just having such a good time, learning as much as he could, taking on board everything either of us said.”
Paul added ‘He just got better and better and better and if you are going to smash it you do it in the last challenge, and that is exactly what he did.
“That chocolate cake was one of the best chocolate cakes I have had for a long, long time.”
