Danielle Harold’s mum reveals why she refused to eat Fred Sirieix’s I’m A Celeb meal – as family arrive in Australia
DANIELLE Harold’s mum has revealed why the former EastEnders actress had to draw the line at eating Fred Sirieix’s campfire dinner.
Viewers saw Danielle turn down a plate of hare - but for good reason.
Mum Lisa Marie Carter landed at Brisbane Airport to support her girl and said: “Absolutely no way she would be eating that hare, the rest of the stuff she would have a go but not the hare.
“She has a rabbit that she adored and it’s like her little baby really so she just wouldn’t eat that.
“The rabbit is called Sonny, Sonny the bunny and he is being looked after by her dad and friends, he is being very well cared for.”
Lisa Marie is brimming with pride at how her daughter is getting on in camp after at first feeling anxious at taking part in the ITV show.

She said: “Danielle’s been doing really, really well, I knew she would be determined.
“A lot of people in there aren’t themselves in their jobs but when you’re playing someone for so long, it’s really difficult to switch off but she’s a really caring person.
“I don’t know how she does it, I’m not a good at heights and she’s inspired me to jump on a plane and get out here.
“She's already a winner in my eyes anyway, I'm really proud.
“I knew she would give it a good go but I am a bit surprised at how much she has thrown herself into it. She was anxious going in.
“I am not worried now though because I can see she looks happy and she is enjoying herself - Nigel Farage's bum is something you just can’t unsee, though!”
Danielle’s step dad David Murray, who arrived as well as Danielle’s pal, added: “Anything with bugs in she’s terrified.
“You can see her jumping around like a jack in a box - me and her younger brother are loving watching that.
“The first trial when she was on the pole was amazing!
“I knew she’d be nervous, but when she got going she was totally fine."
The Pole Position challenge saw the former EastEnders star bravely take on the revamped new heights trial, based atop the 100m high Focus Building in Surfers Paradise.
She was first out on the lofty new structure, which saw the celebs descend down a ladder before crawling along a cylindrical pole.
Plucky Danielle recently stepped in to replace former campmate Grace Dent in a nail-biting aerial trial.
She has also been suspected of using secret signals to communicate with her loved ones.

Speaking on the ITV breakfast show live from Down Under, Good Morning Britain's Richard Arnold said: "We've noticed that Danielle, she seems to be touching her hat a lot.
"So we're wondering down here whether or not that means that she's trying to say to her friends and family back home that she is keeping her head and keeping her cool."
