Gogglebox slammed by show star who accuses producers of ‘editing out’ key moments
GOGGLEBOX has been slammed by one of show's biggest stars who accused producers of 'editing out' key moments.
Dame Maureen Lipman, appeared on the celebrity edition of the hit Channel 4 series alongside This Morning personality Gyles Brandreth.
The Coronation Street actress was being interviewed by her friend Rachel Johnson, 58, for her Difficult Women podcast.
Royal insider Gyles is a friend of both stars and he texted Rachel before the podcast for tips about the interview.
The former Celebrity Big Brother personality read the message: "Maureen is marvellous. You don't need to ask her anything. She just talks - and brilliantly - for laughs.
"Ask her to do her Theresa May impressions, or sing a song from Oklahoma, or play the harp using her mouth, or our time together watching naked attraction."

Dame Maureen, 77, was left gushing in response to the lavish praise on her character by her good friend.
She replied: "He is a dear man, actually is a dear man. And an interesting man. His biography is really very interesting. And I like him."
However, she then decided to make a huge revelation about their time on Celebrity Gogglebox together.
She admitted a lot of the intelligent material they recorded with each other was edited out of the programme as producers decided to only keep the naughty bits.

"We had a good time on Gogglebox together when we were doing it, it's just that they never ever used the wits that we had.
"They just had us going 'UCCKKK!' basically as they showed us row after row of w******.
Rachel laughed in response as she declared, "A waste of your talents Maureen!"
And it seems the star was in complete agreement as she replied: "I think so. Yeah."
