The group headed to see the musical Hamilton, but also had time to enjoy some drinks at a bar.

Nina - who is currently on maternity leave after welcoming her third child in July - beamed as she spent time with her colleagues.

Meanwhile Jon, 53, looked equally thrilled to be out for the evening, safe in the knowledge he didn't have to be up in the middle of the night to get to the studio in time for the show's six am start today.

Jon shared a series of snaps from the evening to his Instagram, writing: "Cracking night out in Manchester with this lovely lot.

"Singing. Dancing. Outlandish costumes. And that was just John Watson."

The first snap saw the group looking excited in a selfie outside the theatre, while another saw Nina, 43, John and Jon in a bar with alcoholic beverages in front of them.

The third snap saw them joined by Tracey, drinks in hand.

Referencing a lyric from the hit musical, John also shared a series of snaps, captioning them: "‘I’m not throwing away my shot..’
