Carla Medonça was spotted playing Weatherfield High’s deputy headmistress, Orla Crawshaw.

Spotted in Monday evening’s episode, Carla’s new look had viewers flocking to social media.

She could be seen sporting a cropped, blonde hairstyle, worlds away from her statement red locks that she rocked on My Parents are Aliens.

One wrote: “Oooh Mrs Crawshaw? has short hair now!”

Another chimed in: “Great to see Mrs Crawshaw back and loving her new hairdo.”

Carla is well-known for playing Sophie Johnson in the ITV kids show.

Her character was a red-headed Valuxian alien shapeshifter – who crash-landed on earth and fostered three orphans.

The series ran from 1999, continuing until 2006 and became a cult hit.

Last year, the star created quite a stir as she first appeared as Mrs Crawshaw.

Corrie fans wrote to social media at the time, with one stating: “My Parents Are Aliens meets Corrie love it!”

Another exclaimed: “Is the teacher Sophie from My Parents Are Aliens??”

Back in March, Tony Gardner, who played Brian Johnson revealed some of the cast had met up to watch a play.

In the shot Tony could be seen beside Jordan Maxwell, who played Frankie Perkins,  Charlotte Francis who was Lucy Barker, Bella Melling who starred as Wendy and Olisa Odele, known for his role as CJ.

Stephanie Fearon, who played Harry, could be seen alongside Patrick Niknejad, who appeared as Josh’s best pal Pete.
