It could prove to come in handy when competing in tasks to win a daily treat for camp.

His friend and former aide Alex Phillips told The Sun about his secret skill as she praised the political heavyweight.

"He remembers everybody's name, everyone's phone number.

"Nigel said it's from all the years he worked as a metals trader on the floor in the city of London where you had massively long numbers, values of things and commodities going up going down and he had to do calculations in his head.

"He is brilliant at remembering things."

Nigel's career was built his political career on being a Eurosceptic and urged Britons to vote leave in 2016 Brexit referendum.

He worked with Alex, who was head of media at UKIP, before she went on to become a Brexit Party Member of the European Parliament (MEP).

Nigel was handed I'm A Celebrity's biggest ever fee of £1.5million to head into the jungle this month.

Ex-Health Secretary Matt Hancock finished third in last year's series - but Nigel didn't bother asking the former Tory MP for tips.

"No, he would never do that," insisted Alex

He did however, talk to Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo who won the how in 2017 and is a fellow Brexiteer.

Alex added: "Georgia will definitely have given a lot of support, encouragement and insider tips from Toff. I'm certain about that.

"But he's not bothered about beating Matt Hancock's placing last year.

"He's in there because he thought, strategically, politically, it's the right time to do it as he's thinking about a potential political comeback.

"Also, he likes a challenge, and if he was going to do it, then it's the right time in his life now while he's on television and not running a political party and not fighting campaigns.

"I dare say Toff was a sort of big influence on that decision."
