Opening up about that period, I'm A Celebrity star Jamie Lynn said: "When I was not much older than my daughter is now… I became pregnant.

"That was something that I took responsibility for the way that made sense for me.

"That doesn't make sense for everyone else, but it made sense for me, and the whole world came down and told me I was the worst human alive for doing so, and that every young girl who ever watched my show was going to be ruined because of me and my personal decision.

"I take responsibility, I didn't want to let anybody down, but I had to do what was right for me."

Appearing on Hannah Brown's , she added: "It just shows you, just 15 years ago I was being shamed as a woman for making a choice about my own life.

"It was just like 'You are the worst, you've ruined everything, every child now, wow, what a let-down you are.' And so I just think that like, I would hope that we would do better."

Jamie, who is also mum to five-year-old daughter Ivey Joan with husband Jamie Watson, is currently in the I'm A Celebrity jungle and opened up about her pregnancy to campmate Fred Sirieix during Monday night's show.

She told him how she had to "hide away" for a long time and moved to Mississippi.

She told the First Dates star: "'I just wanted to be normal. I wanted my baby to be normal.

"Everybody told me I was going to be a horrible mum. So I was like I've got to raise this baby by myself and I did."

Later in the Bush Telegraph Jamie Lynn said: "I'm proud of where I'm at now.

"I don't share it in a way of being sad or crying about it, but it's like, I don't know, I just… I'm really thankful."

The actress also finally spoke about famous sister Britney.

She opened up about their strained relationship when quizzed by her campmates and said: "I think every family fights and has their stuff but I talked to her before I came here and we love each other.”

But she added that the pair had spoken just before she headed to Australia.
