Strictly fans in hysterics at Neil Jones’ ‘priceless’ reaction to Angela Rippon’s scores during Blackpool Special

STRICTLY fans were left in hysterics at Neil Jones' 'priceless' reaction to Angela Rippon's scores during the Blackpool Special.

Saturday night saw the seven remaining celebrities dance at the Tower Ballroom.

Angela, 79, performed an American Smooth with her pro partner Kai Widdrington.

Unfortunately, she ended up scoring one of her lowest scores of the competition to date with 28 points.

Craig Revel Horwood had given the pair a six and eagle-eyed Strictly viewers were quick to spot Neil Jones' reaction in the background.

As the score came in, Neil could be seen over Angela's shoulder scrunching his face up in a 'What?!' expression.

Taking to X - formerly Twitter - one viewer wrote: "Neil’s reactions to judges scores for Angela R just then were hilarious. Actually lol’d."

Another added: "SCREAMING AT NEIL'S FACE WHEN CRAIG GAVE ANGELA R A 6 LOOOOOOOOOOL."

A third tweeted: "OH MY GOD B****Y NEIL!!!"

While one Angela found herself at the bottom of the leaderboard, the other - Angela Scanlon - found herself second from the top with her best score of the series so far.

Angela and her pro partner Carlos Gu danced an Argentine Tango, and she received three 10s from the judges.

It prompted some Strictly fans to brand her the 'dark horse' of the competition.

One wrote: "Angela S is the dark horse of this competition #Strictly."

Another added: "That may just be angela and carlos’ best dance yet wowow that was brilliant #strictly."

A third tweeted: "ANGELA JUST GOT HER FIRST 10S & THEIR HIGHEST SCORE OF THE SEASON !!!!! CONGRATS MY DEAR !!!! ANGELA IS THE DARK HORSE OF THIS SEASON !!!!!!"
