Emmerdale shock death causes devastation as baby is left without a mum in harrowing scenes
EMMERDALE fans are reeling after a shock death caused devastation tonight.
Viewers know that vet Rhona Goskirk recently discovered ex Gus had faked her identity to use their old implanted embryos in his new wife Lucy so they could have a baby.

In tonight’s episode Rhona was furious when Gus stood her up for a meeting about his lies and she went to his house to confront him.
However there she found a heavily pregnant Lucy and ended up in a shouting match that put Lucy into early labour.
Rhona helped Gus get his wife to the hospital for treatment -and she gave birth early to a daughter.
But as Gus emerged from the clinical area, he told Rhona and Marlon: “There was some bleeding and she’s in theatre. They sent me out and said they’d come and get me.”

Rhona told him it would just be a tear that needed to be repaired and that she would be fine but it soon became clear that she was wrong.
Spying through the family room window Rhona saw Gus breaking down after being spoken to by a doctor.
“It’s Lucy,” said Gus. “She’s gone. They couldn’t stop the bleeding. Her organs went into shock.”
As he began to realise the enormity of what had happened, Gus turned on Rhona, angrily saying: “You said it was a tear, she just needed stitches.

“Why are you even here? If you hadn’t of turned up we’d have been fine. You’re the reason she went into labour.
“You were shouting at her in the street, threatening her with legal action. She was so stressed, convinced you were going to take her baby from her.
“That’s why I couldn’t risk meeting you, that’s why we tried to leave. But no - you hounded us anyway.
“It was you, it was all your fault. She wasn’t meant to have the baby, she wasn’t ready. You killed her.”
“No,” shouted Rhona back. “We need to leave, take me home.”
But at home, Rhona fully blamed herself.
Breaking down she cried: “Lucy died. I did steal her baby because she’ll never hold it, she’ll never see it, she’ll never be a mother.
“Gus said I killed her and I did. He’s right because I did.”
Fans are in shock at the scenes.
