Big Brother bosses locked in crisis talks over Trish’s ‘return to show’ after ‘racist tweet’ scandal

BIG Brother bosses are locked in crisis talks over whether Trish should return for the final.

The 33-year-old was forced to apologise after 'racist and homophobic tweets’ were exposed after she left the house.

The scandal shook fans who had been backing Trish to win before her shock eviction.

Big Brother contestants typically return for the final to watch from the sidelines as the series winner is revealed.

Show bosses banned Trish from appearing on Late and Live alongside Chanelle, who left the House on the same night.

They said they are now investigating a third party hired to trawl over housemates' social media following the fallout.

It's not yet known whether Trish will be allowed to return this Friday night, after massive fan backlash.

An insider told The Sun: "The tweets weren't picked up before Trish became a housemate and that's left those working on the show feeling disappointed and upset.

"There's now talks going on behind the scenes about how they deal with Trish in the final.

"There could be massive blow back from angry fans if she's there - but there are some who want Trish to face the music."

Trish issued an apology apologising for the 'racist and homophobic' tweets, saying there was "no excuse".

She deleted her X account, formerly known as Twitter, where the offensive tweets had been posted and set up a new one to write to fans.

Trish wrote at the weekend: "I'm aware that some very concerning old tweets of mine have resurfaced and I would like to sincerely apologise for the harmful stereotypes I perpetuated and the pain I have cause to the marginalised communities and groups of people mentioned.

"There are no excuses for the ignorance that I showed and I am deeply disappointed, embarrassed and ashamed that I once made such comments.

"I have come a very long way since by educating myself and being educated by others on the impact and harm these views cause.

"It is part of the reason why I am so passionate about standing up for others and holding myself to a high standard of responsibility and accountability for my actions.

"I appreciate the support you've all given me on the show and I understand you feel disappointed.

"I know apologies can seem convenient in these circumstances but I mean it from the bottom of my heart; I am truly sorry.

"I hope it is possible for you to offer me grace and believe that people can change.
