BBC BREAKFAST'S Carol Kirkwood sparked some concern this morning after she seemed under the weather on the morning show.

The 61-year-old warned those living in Cumbria, Lancashire and Merseyside that they were at risk of experiencing gale force winds and heavy rain.

She added that the Met Office has issued an amber weather warning.

Carol seemed sombre as she explained how people may be affected by the oncoming storm.

One BBC Breakfast fan shared their concern, saying they "hope she is okay" after the serious segment.

They wrote: "Our Carol doesn’t seem to be her cheery self this morning. I hope she’s okay but it’s also Monday and it’s raining so…"

After seeing the news, another viewer exclaimed: "Back to bed it is!"

Another popular show host also sparked concerns last week after she appeared unwell during Tuesday's show.

Viewers urged Sally Nugent to go home and rest when she looked poorly in the Beeb studio and sounded hoarse while presenting the news.

She shared a photo behind the scenes sipping lemsip, confirming she was unwell.

The fan favourite then took time off to recover, and was replaced by Sarah Campbell.
