The 48-year-old and Charlie Stayt presented the show, where she told the news reporter he was not welcome.

Naga and Charlie hosted the Friday morning BBC Breakfast programme.

During the show, a segment about the upkeep of jeans was presented by senior broadcast journalist Peter Ruddick.

As he concluded the segment, he took the opportunity to advise the hosts that to keep their jeans in the best state possible, they should only wash them once every 6 months.

Peter stated: "One thing I have learned today is that if you want to keep your jeans looking fresh, the secret, Naga and Charlie, is to not wash them for the first six months. How do you feel about that?"

Naga replied: "I think I feel fine about it if you don't wear them every day for six months because that would be weird.

“Because then I think they would actually get up and walk to the washing machine themselves."

Peter cheekily responded: "So you're on board for not watching these for six months? I think I might not sit next to you on the sofa again."

Naga remarked: "You won't be invited to sit next to me on the sofa."

The trio chuckled away as Peter stood speechless while Naga concluded the segment and moved on with the rest of the show.

On a previous show, Charlie and Naga welcomed former conservative MP Nadine Dorries on the show.

The ex-secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport disclosed to the duo that former Prime Minister Boris Johnson had asked her not to speak to Charlie during her appearance on the show.

Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on BBC One.
