Alan may be best known for playing lovable Tyrone on the cobbles.

But away from the soap he has a very different job after setting up his own property firm.

The actor is investing his money wisely after launching his secret second career away from the cobbles.

He has snapped up a modest red brick three-bed terrace for £100,000 and the pad is a dead ringer for the place at 9, Coronation Street where his character Tyrone Dobbs resides.

Alan bought the pad with a mortgage raised against his firm Rae Property Ltd – named in honour of his daughter Sienna-Rae.

An ITV source said: “Alan is planning more homes and if he snaps up a couple more in the road as they become available, he could have his very own Coronation Street.”

The small home might be the double of his on-set gaff, but it is worlds away from the stunning home he shares with his daughter and ex-costar lover Tisha Merry in an upmarket part of the city.

The actor built his dream home, now worth a whopping £750k, with former wife Lucy-Jo Hudson – who also starred in the soap.

The pad boasts a luxury lounge, a grand hallway and a lavish bathroom that has a freestanding bath, plus a monster kitchen and a huge garden.
