Strictly Adam Thomas says ‘he did the best he could’ in awkward video after tense performance on show
STRICTLY star Adam Thomas told fan that he would be leaving the competition with his "head held high" if he was eliminated tonight.
Adam, who is partnered with Russian pro Luba Mushtuk, 33, scored a total of 27 for their rumba.
The Waterloo Road star, 35, looked disheartened after landing second to bottom on the leaderboard.

Posing a video from backstage, Adam said: "This is awkward, I did the best I could do, I really did.
"The problem is like if I'm in the dance off now, I don't know what else I can do.

"But hey, it is what it is. Unfortunately my scores weren't great tonight.
"I felt I did a good job tonight, so I'm happy.
"So whatever happens tomorrow night, I can leave with my head held high but hopefully I'm not going to be leaving because all you guys are going to be voting for me.
"Come on guys, lets make it happen, get me to week eight."
Elsewhere actor Layton Williams kicked off the weekend to a strong start, bagging 36 points for his fast-paced Jive.
But Coronation Street star Ellie Leach knocked him off the top spot with her slick American Smooth, which earned her a near perfect 39 points from the judges.
Earlier this week, Adam told The Sun that he has had to overcome his debilitating illness to take part in the BBC competition.
TV star Adam suffers from rheumatoid arthritis and had to pull out of Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two last month due to illness.
He said: “I’m surprised I’ve lasted this long without getting ill.
“I had to miss work and a bit of training.”
Adam comes from a TV family — his brother Ryan, 39, starred on Coronation Street, and his twin Scott appeared on Love Island.
Despite that, Adam admits he can be crippled with self doubt.
He said: “There’s been a few emotional days because it is so strenuous due to the workload.
“I doubted myself but feel I’ve found an inner confidence week on week.

“It turns out I am good enough and should believe in myself a bit more.
“I’m genuinely proud of what I’ve done so far in the show.”
