A heated online debate sparked over Tasha, who initially spoke but switched to British Sign Language when the tension escalated.
This led to a Bake Off row on X/Twitter with fans fiercely defending Tasha.
One wrote: "Very upsetting to see people criticizing Tasha for her decision to sign. Deaf people are entitled to communicate however they want and feel comfortable, and that doesn’t always need to be one way or another. If it bothers you that you can’t understand, learn British Sign Language."
A second added: "Genuinely disgusting seeing the people being ablest towards Tasha after she decides to use sign language in the tent. Always looking for some s**t to stir up. Absolutely love you Tasha. Can't believe the nerve of some people."

A third penned: "So disappointing seeing the nasty tweets about Tasha, she absolutely smashed it, love her."
A fourth wrote: "Tasha you are amazing! Don't listen to the haters."
A fifth added: "It’s uncomfortable seeing negative comments about Tasha not talking and just signing. Maybe think about how hard she has to work to communicate with others and give her a break. It won’t kill others to do some of the work for once. She doesn’t owe it to viewers to talk."
