Lorraine Kelly devastated as ‘much-loved’ ITV colleague, 33, diagnosed with terminal cancer
LORRAINE Kelly told of her heartache after an ITV colleague was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
The Scots presenter, 63, posted a gorgeous message on social media to pal and production assistant Hannah Hawkins, 33.
The young mum's husband Tom shared his wife's journey just weeks after giving birth to her young son Rory.
The ITV staffer's condition is said to be "deteriorating" with Tom adding she is unable to use her phone.
Praising her telly pal, Lorraine wrote: "This is Hannah. She’s a much-loved part of our Lorraine team and recently gave birth to her gorgeous son Rory.
"Amidst the joy of his arrival was the devastation of the return of her cancer.
"We are all deeply saddened and sending our love to Hannah’s family - and to her husband Tom."
Brave Hannah's husband Tom was in awe of his lovely wife and rushed online to raise awareness of her journey.
He wrote: "Just wanted to say we are truly overwhelmed by the love and well wishes we’ve received over recent weeks and completely blown away by the generosity shown towards the Just Giving fund for Rory.
"Therefore I felt it only fair to share that Hannah’s condition has continued to deteriorate to the point where, amongst other things, she’s not able to use her phone anymore.
"I am trying to keep an eye on her messages so even though you won’t get a reply please know I am passing on your support and it is hugely appreciated."
And scores of well-wishers flocked to the comments with an outpouring of positive messages for the young mum.
One wrote: "Thinking of you all so much."
Another said: "Hannah is my hero. Sending so much love to you all."
A third added: "Hannah you’re a beautiful woman inside and out. Love to you all."
While one commented: "Sending all the love and strength."
