EastEnders fans open-mouthed as legendary villain returns to Walford with twisted warning
EASTENDERS fans have been left open-mouthed after a legendary villain returned to Walford with a twisted warning.
Tonight's episode of the BBC soap saw members of Albert Square attempt to celebrate Halloween.
Linda Carter was determined to keep the tradition going in honour of former husband Mick, and decorated the pub with the help of mum Elaine and her partner George.
But the character admitted to her mum that getting through the day was tough following Mick's disappearance last Christmas.
Later, the family managed to salvage their party in the pub, with numerous residents dressing up for the event.
But as they celebrated inside, a shadowy figure arrived on the Square in a taxi, before creeping down the side of the pub and into the property.

Linda - played by Kellie Bright - was then seen heading into the kitchen upstairs to make a drink, when the door closed behind her, prompting her to turn around.
But she got more of a scare than she could have ever expected on Halloween when she saw Dean Wicks standing in front of her.
Dean - played by Matt Di Angelo - had raped Linda after becoming obsessed with her in 2014, and before she had chance to say anything he warned her twice: "Don't scream".
As the soap's 'duff duff's' rang out, shocked EastEnders viewers took to X - formerly Twitter - to discuss the villain's return.
One wrote: "Omg that ending" alongside sobbing emojis.
Another added: "OH MY GODDD WHAT A CLIFFHANGER, I AM ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT."
A third tweeted alongside a gig of Chris Pratt open mouthed with shock in Parks and Recreation: "The end of tonight’s #Eastenders though."
EastEnders airs on BBC One and is available on BBC iPlayer.
