Love Island’s Ron Hall opens up about heartbreaking split from Lana Jenkins – saying it completely ‘destroyed’ him
LOVE Island star Ron Hall has opened up about his heartbreaking split from Lana Jenkins for the first time - saying it completely "destroyed me".
Ron and Lana, both 26, who met on the winter series of the show this year, called it quits just three months after leaving the show.
The former finance worker has now revealed that the break-up took a toll on him and said he struggled to bounce back.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Ron said: "I will never do a dating show again, I will never have a relationship in the public eye again because I think it ruins it.
"It played a part in mine and Lana's relationship.
"I think relationship programmes are quite forced and it doesn't happen naturally, it's great and it works.

"It worked for me because I didn't expect to fall in love. But I think sometimes it can play with peoples feelings too much."
Ron said that he is still good friends with Lana despite their public split and still cheers her on from a distance.
He said: "Me and Lana are really good, we chat every now and again. She's just done an amazing collab, I'm so proud of her.
"She's smashing it, I can't tell you how proud I am of her, doing her thing, what she said she wanted to do.

"She's killing it and it's nice to know that the good ones out there are getting the things they want.
"It's difficult, every now and again you might say congrats or you might see her somewhere.
"But it's always going to be difficult, we don't talk everyday because lets be honest it would be hard to do.
"But it's not like a typical ex where you hate each other, we didn't."
When asked why the pair broke up, Ron explained: "That's a good question, I think it was for multiple reasons.
"The world is a bit nuts, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and if it was in another world it might have worked."
Ron said he is now taking some time for himself to heal and won't be rushing into another relationship anytime soon.
He told us at Davide Sanclimenti's Sci-Mx launch party: "Single pringle, people do slide into my DMs...do they get a response? No.
"I'm focusing on me, I think it was hard on me.
"It was my first proper relationship, it was hard, it completely destroyed me.
"It's a shock to anyone, I needed to learn to focus on me and love myself a bit more.
"At some point I will be back on the market, but right now I'm just doing me and just living my single life, trying to float."
Lana previously opened up about issue of living more than 200 miles apart, which Ron said was their biggest challenge.
Ron and Lana didn't have the smoothest of rides in the villa.
The two coupled up on day one, but by day five Ron recoupled with Tanyel Revan to explore their connection.
By day 10 Ron had recoupled again with bombshell Ellie Spence, leaving Lana gutted.

Meanwhile, Lana paired with Aaron Waters and later decided that she wanted to see if she could see a spark with Casey O'Gorman.
After exploring her connection with Casey, Lana decided that Ron was the man for her afterall.
