I was in one of ITV’s biggest kids shows which Ed Sheeran auditioned for – I’ve quit fame for a job behind the scenes
A STAR of one of ITV's biggest kids shows has swapped fame for a job behind the scenes.
In 2008 musical drama Brittania High premiered - with many stars of today auditioning unsuccessfully for a part on the drama.
But one person who did make the cut was Georgina Hagan.
The show focused on the lives of a group of teenagers and their mentors at a fictional theatre school.
Georgina starred as Lauren Waters in the show and auditioned alongside Pixie Lott.
She recalled to the "being in absolute awe of her talent".
Ed Sheeran and Aston Merrygold also tried out for the show but were unsuccessful.
But these days Georgina works as a theatre producer and is the resident director of Everyone's Talking About Jamie.
Praising the show for giving her career a great head start, she said: "I learnt so much. I made so many mistakes, oh my gosh, but then I learnt from them."
A clip of Ed's audition previously surfaced - with him being brutally rejected by Arlene Phillips.
