Ex-actress Roxanne Pallett sparked 27k Ofcom complaints after accusing former Coronation Street star Ryan of physical assault in the house.

Now he's spoken out about the experience during a new episode of , his podcast with brothers Adam and Scott.

The actor accused Big Brother of treating the situation like a "science project" - despite knowing he had not been violent towards Roxanne.

He said: "I just feel like it's a science experiment and they don't interfere with what's going on... they wanted to see how it played out and [I] sort of get it, but a lot of people [were] saying I shouldn’t have gone through what I went through."

Ryan also recounted the moment he knew something wasn't right.

He said: "I was sat on the bed and Kirsty [Alley] on one side, there was Sally [Morgan] on the other there was Nick [Leeson] and there was Dan [Osborne].

"I just get that feeling I'm being left out and then someone came in and said, ‘It’s  because of you that she didn't want to stay in the house’ - I'm even getting goose pimples now speaking about it. I was like, ‘what do you mean me?’"

Ryan added: "Bearing in mind before this I’d been taken into the diary room to be told that I'm on my last warning, I was like, ‘wow, my last warning?’

"They said there's been an incident and you're on your last warning, and I didn't really grasp it."

Scott replied: "This is why the nation was baffled because Big Brother could actually look though at the tapes but they were treating you as if you had done something wrong."

Roxanne claimed Ryan had "deliberately" punched her as she asked him if he needed any laundry done.

After he playfully pretended to punch her she asked to be called to the Diary Room and painted a very different picture.

Ryan was later seen breaking down in tears of relief when, during a live eviction, an angry crowd were heard chanting "get Roxanne out" - letting him know the truth was out there.

Roxanne's lie about Ryan became the most complained about TV moment to Ofcom in 2018.

Ryan is engaged to former Towie star Lucy Mecklenburgh and they share two children, Roman, three, and 17-month-old Lilah.

He is also dad to Scarlett, 14, from his relationship with actress Tina O'Brien.
