EastEnders’ Shona McGarty shares rare video with musician boyfriend as she wows fans with hidden talent
It comes as the actress is set to depart the show to pursue other projects
EASTENDERS actress Shona McGarty has proved there is no end to her list of talents as she impressed her fans with another trick she had up her sleeve.
The soap favourite, famed for her iconic role as Whitney Dean on the BBC show, shared a new clip to Instagram alongside her musician boyfriend, David Bracken.
Whilst the pair are used to sharing loved-up selfies with one another, in their latest video they showed off their creative side as Shona beautifully played the harmonica.
The actress is known to also be an exceptional singer and has wowed fans as a guest at concerts and in her TikTok videos in the past but is seems Shona is just as keen on her harmonica playing.
Sat beside David who was playing the guitar, Shona hummed away on the musical instrument.
Shona beamed with pride as she bounced her hands and legs in excitement at nailing the tune as David said to the camera: “Bet you didn’t know she could do that?”
In a second solo clip, Shona would give any professional a run for their money with another perfectly tuned piece of music.
The EastEnders star’s fans were left in awe at her skills and abilities as they raced to compliment her.
Writing underneath the two clips, one said: “Talents are endless with this girl.”
A second added: “Such a talented girl.”
As a third echoed: “Absolutely brilliant! Are you are literally an explosion of talents! X”
Before a fourth penned: “Is there anything this girl can’t do.”
Just last month, The Sun exclusively revealed that Shona had fallen for new man David after a painful split from co-star Max Bowden (Ben Mitchell).
Tattooed David is one half of Irish guitar duo Blessed, who regularly perform gigs across their homeland and have more than 18,000 Instagram followers.
Shona, who is also a talented singer, recently explained her decision to leave Walford and her character Whitney Dean behind after more than a decade.
“It wasn’t an easy decision because I’ve made so many friends,” she said.
“I’ve seen people come and go, and meanwhile, Whitney has been one of the longest-standing characters.
“I’ve had so much fun and done so many storylines, some of which have been sensitive, and I’ve been honoured to be trusted with such heavy stuff, year after year.”
She added: “So, I’m going to be sad to say goodbye to my friends and family, but it was right decision for me as I want to do other things.
“After 15 years, I’ve had a pretty good run.”
