Lorraine show slammed by furious fans for ‘out of touch’ advent calendar segment
LORRAINE viewers have slammed the ITV show for being "out of touch" after it featured a series of very expensive advent calendars.
Christine Lampard, who is stepping in for Lorraine Kelly, was seen oohing and aahing over some pricey products on today’s show, including ones that will set you back over £200.
Those watching at home were not impressed that the segment aired during the current cost of living crisis and took to X formerly Twitter to moan.
One person wrote: “How out of touch is this segment. Advent calendars for 100s of pounds during a cost of living crisis where people can’t even afford heating or food. #Lorraine.”

While a third commented: “ are you having a laugh? Maybe you’re not aware, but we’re in a cost of living crisis and you’re featuring £200 advent calendars ️if it ain’t a £1 job from B&M then it’s unlikely to sell lol️ you’re so detached, wake up #costofliving #lorraine #getaclue.”

Annoyed fans also hit out at Lorraine Kelly on when they realised she booked two weeks off work.
Fuming viewers tuned in to find the TV legend, 63, had vanished from their screens.
Mum-of-two Christine is taking over from Lorraine during the half term break, even though she has young kids.
Chrsitine is mum to children, Patricia, five, and Freddie, two, who she shares with husband Frank Lampard.
One viewer said: "'Why is Lorraine off for half-term, she doesn't have school age kids."
Another said: "'Half-term which means the woman with a 28-year-old takes the week off and the woman with two young children does her show!"
One more moaned: "Ah yes. Lorraine has half term off despite her daughter not having been at school for about 20 years, only to be replaced by someone with school age kids. The usual makes-no-sense move."
Lorraine is understood to be taking two weeks off for half term and will return to the show on Monday, November 6.
