Comedian Jack Carroll, who is known for being a runner up on Britain's Got Talent, is going to be swapping the stage for the cobbles this December.
The new soap star, 25, is set to play new character Bobby Donovan.
Much to his aunty Carla's surprise, Bobby is going to arrive in Weatherfield looking for a place to stay after a big fight with his mum.
Carla Connor will be forced to take the young man under her wing as his estranged dad Rob is in jail for murdering Tina McIntyre.
The new soap star, who lives with cerebral palsy, has shared how much joining the Corrie cast has meant to him.

"I hope Bobby brings viewers a lot of laughs in the vein of some of the street’s classic comedy characters."
Jack was only 14 when he competed in the seventh series of BGT and quickly became a child star.
Since winning the hearts of the nation with his comedic performance he has gone on to act in TV shows such as Big School and Trollied.
Although he started out acting on children's programmes, he quickly moved onto bigger things, landing a role in Doctors and then stage show Cured.
