Revenge porn campaigner Georgia Harrison wants to become an MP after helping jail twisted ex Stephen Bear
REVENGE porn campaigner Georgia Harrison has revealed she wants to stand as an MP.
She helped change the law after her twisted ex Stephen Bear was convicted of sharing a video of them having sex which he had secretly filmed on CCTV.
The former reality star, who waived her right to anonymity to reveal what she went through, says she has the support of senior Labour figures if she chose to run at the next election.
In April she met party leader Sir Keir Starmer and Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper to discuss violence against women and girls.
And earlier this month she attended the Labour conference in Liverpool.
Georgia, 28, said: “I had serious conversations with a couple of Labour MPs about if I could run for Essex, and they said it would be possible.

“They told me to go away and think about it.
"They said if I was being serious about running for an MP it is something that they would support me with.
“I think also for little girls growing up seeing someone like me running for an MP would be quite inspiring.
“We need more normal people going into politics.

"We spoke for a while about what it would entail — and they said I’d get a lot of messages about bin collections. I can handle that.
"I’d happily tell everyone about their bins — do not leave your trash everywhere, it’s just so wrong.”
Bear was jailed for 21 months in March after being convicted of voyeurism and disclosing private, sexual photographs, to his OnlyFans account.
Georgia, who won the Activist gong at Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards on Tuesday, is still inundated with messages from women who have also been victims of revenge porn.
And she has just written her first book, Taking Back My Power, with each chapter discussing an aspect of her life she is “taking back”.
She said: “Doing the book was such a mix of emotions.
"In a way it was really therapeutic but at the same time it was really, really hard going over those tough moments again.
“But I’m really glad I’ve done it, and it feels so nice to finally close that chapter of my life at the same time. It feels good."
Georgia is now very much looking forward to the future.
She said: “I honestly feel really good. I'm still single. I haven’t been in a relationship for ages.
"My last boyfriend didn’t want to be in the limelight and I think that took a big toll on our relationship. I think after everything I just wanted a boy that didn’t want to famous, actually it was so the other way he didn’t want to be linked to me whatsoever, but I am in the spotlight now.
"If we go to restaurants I’ll get pictured, if we’re going on holiday I want to be able to do social media videos, I think it’s shown me, I don’t necessarily want to be with someone who is famous, but I’d like to be with someone that can be part of my world."
She added: "I need someone who can fit into my life, they haven’t got to do TikTok dances in the kitchen but it would be nice if they could come to a premiere with me.
"I’m just really holding out for the right person. When the universe is ready I’ve got faith that I will meet someone.
“I’m 28 now and I’m really ready to settle down. I think that’s why I’m being quite picky, I’m not ready for anything casual.
