Award-winning ITV game show snapped up by Prime Video with plans for huge expansion
AMAZON Prime Video has swept up an award-winning ITV game show with plans for a 'major' expansion.
The streaming giant has announced they are adapting the UK game show The 1% Club.
Amazon Prime Video is adapting the logical ITV quiz show The 1% Club where contestants must use their logic instead of what they know.
The series currently airs on ITV in the UK, US and Canada and has previously been remade in the Netherlands, Australia, Germany, France, Israel, Spain and Turkey.
Comedian Lee Mack hosts the quiz series, which tests a 100 contestants' intelligence based on a scientific survey, where the questions are all about logic, common sense and reasoning.
The 100 players are eliminated individually as they compete to make it to the end and answer a question only 1% of the country can answer for the chance to win a whopping £100,000.

The audience and viewers at home can also join in and answer questions that test how the brain works, often leading to hilariously entertaining answers.
The show's original creators, BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions and Magnum Media, will continue to oversee the move and extension.
The executive producers of The 1% Club are Ryan O'Dowd and Krystal Whitney for BBC Studios, Dean Nabarro and Andy Auerbach for Magnum Media, and Amazon MGM Studios, with Wes Kauble serving as showrunner.
Lauren Anderson, head of AVOD Original Content and Unscripted Programming for Amazon MGM Studios, said: "Multi-award winning The 1% Club is a fun and distinctive play-at-home game show format where the questions aren't a test of general knowledge but an opportunity to showcase logic, brainpower and common sense.
