Sally and Jon Kay presented Monday morning's episode, and during the show, they sat down with paranormal investigator Danny Robins.

The presenters revealed that the studio became very spooky, with a couple of unusual moments happening right before he joined them.

Danny created the creepy The Uncanny series and has a scary radio series and podcast that debuted as a BBC Two show on Friday 13.

The programme follows him as he interviews people about their uncanny experiences, ranging from ghosts and cryptids to UFO sightings and poltergeists.

Before the sit down, a spine-chilling clip from the new TV series shows Danny asking a woman if she was 'actually seeing' a ghost.

She responded: "Yeah! Just like you now. She's 3D, she's not translucent, she's a person."

He wondered if she could 'remember her face'.

The guest replied: "Yeah, yeah, I can!"

When the camera panned back to the big red sofa, Sally admitted she was terrified.

At that point, Jon welcomed the paranormal investigator and said: "Danny joins us now on the sofa, and weird things have started happening in the last couple of minutes! Our autocue went down as we said your name…"

Sally mentioned that the 'cameras failed' as well.

Jon added: "You just told us something weird happened out there?"

Danny then chimed in: "The fridge exploded! As I walked past, the contents of the fridge disgorged! Milk went everywhere."

Sally quizzed: "Danny, is this you?! What's going on?!"

BBC Breakfast viewers enjoyed his appearance on the show as one fan took to X(Twitter) and praised the episode but wondered if there was more to the 'fridge incident' after all.

They penned: "#Uncanny Brilliant first episode on Friday! Can't wait for Friday this week, the fridge incident in the studio. Coincidence??"

Another joked: "We are going to need to know what happened to the fridge, please."

Also, on the show, the presenters discussed the current conflict in Palestine, the NHS crisis and how people will manage in the winter with the cost of living continuing to rise as well as other current issues.

BBC Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on BBC One. Uncanny continues on Friday at 9pm on BBC Two.
