He was seen back on screens last week as part of Super Soap Week and has confirmed he is sticking around although he has ruled out a major family storyline for Aaron.

Fans watched on as a seemingly troubled and tormented Aaron was held hostage by his uncles Cain and Caleb after he ran into trouble with an 'Italian mafia' that saw him steal 30,000 Euros.

It appeared that Aaron had found himself butting heads with the wrong people out in Italy and it prompted his uncles to take charge and kidnap him back to the Dales.

Aaron was eventually caught up in their feud with Harry which saw his mum, Chas, kidnapped too with Aaron forced to relinquish his money in order to protect his baby sister, Eve.

However, although it seems the Dingle fave is here to stay, don't expect to see him settling down any time soon and certainly not by having any kids.

In an interview with TV Times, Danny shot down story speculation of Aaron becoming a father and insisted it would not be happening despite fans pleas.

He told the publication: "God, no! I think he's so far away from being a father any time soon, or a husband.

"He needs to learn to love himself before he can let anyone else love him – that old cliché is so true when it comes to Aaron."

Aaron had previously discussed having children with ex-husband, Robert Sugden, although it was not meant to be when the pair were forced to go their separate ways.

Elsewhere, Danny confirmed he hoped that Aaron would get back on side with Cain and Caleb with the three of them creating a new group that could wreak havoc and bring some of the classic Dingle traits back to the ITV show.

He said: "It would be nice to have a trio of Caleb, Aaron and Cain. That would be my wish, to see them working together as a Dingle threesome and taking on people.

"It's always fun to do those kinds of scenes, where you're nicking cars, avoiding the police and doing a bit of fighting."

Only time will tell what Aaron gets up to next and how he will fare being back in the village for the first time since sister Liv was killed after being struck by a caravan in the wind, something he blames his mum and her dead ex, Al, for.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
