Coronation Street rocked in aftermath of Stephen Reid’s death as police make another arrest

STEPHEN Reid's death has rocked the cobbles and the police are looking for someone to take the blame.
Next week, another beloved Coronation Street resident is arrested for the serial killer's murder. But could it be a mistake?
Weatherfield residents were horrified to see the once-admired Stephen Reid spiral out of control and hold his other half Jenny Connor hostage with a broken bottle to her throat.
The criminal's actions were all uncovered, from his financial antics to his three murders, but his reign of terror ended in a devastating twist as Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) moved him over with his taxi.
Three characters were brought into the police station for questioning - Underworld boss Carla Connor (Alison King), her PA Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) and Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell).
Unfortunately, things got out of hand for the latter as he lost his job when unknowingly allowing Stephen to steal a large sum of money from the Underworld factory as he, at the time, was planning for his escape from justice.

Next week, matters go from bad to worse for Michael as he desperately tries to get his job back - and it's all down to his father Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges).
Coming up next week on ITV, having placed Michael’s £1000 on a horse, Ed watches the race on tenterhooks.
When the horse wins, Ed punches the air in delight and, when he arrives home, he stuffs the cash in a bag in the hallway to hide it from Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) and Michael.
Unaware of its contents, Michael grabs the bag as he heads out to Underworld to try and get his job back.

But he is stunned when DS Swain arrives and wants to interview him about the cash Stephen stole.
Having answered DS Swain’s questions, Michael opens his bag and is baffled to find a huge wad of cash.
DS Swain clocks the money and demands to know where it came from.
