BBC Breakfast host mortified after being caught picking their nose live on air following tech blunder

During today's instalment the pair listened on as a segment about flying suits was played out to viewers watching at home.

A technical mishap occurred when footage back at the studio appeared while audio from the piece was still playing.

Unfortunately Roger was caught at a bad moment while he appeared to be digding around in his schnoz.

The presenter soon realised he was back on air and giggled in embarrassment, while Sarah was occupied doing something else.

Roger then said: “I was quite enjoying watching you go down that mountain."

Sarah added: “At least my jaw was closed by the end of it."

Although they tried to cover up the awkward blunder, Roger's habit didn't go unnoticed by fans.

One wrote on X: "Live nose pick on  Breakfast this morning."

Another sarcastically added: "Roger got away with that one I don't think anyone noticed #BBCBreakfast.”

"I certainly wasn’t enjoying you picking your nose thinking you were off-air!! #BBCBreakfast," a third chimed in.

It comes after BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty hinted at tensions with Charlie Stayt after an awkward interview went viral.

The pair were talking about the weather - and they had opposing views.

Charlie said he planned to stay home after work and relax in front of the telly.

He said: "I want to watch the rugby. It's that thing, staying indoors when it's nice outside.

"But I don't think that's a worry right now is it."

Naga, 48, said it was going to be sunny and asked the weather man to confirm.

He said: "You're right Naga" adding it would "turn chilly" but there would be "a few sunny spells".

Laughing, Naga replied: "Look at you mediating between us. It's a part of the job isn't it".
