Coronation Street’s Stephen Reid actor Todd Boyce gushes over surprising new job following dramatic soap exit
CORONATION Street villain Todd Boyce has landed two brand new roles away from the soap following his dramatic exit.
Actor Todd, 62, played serial killer Stephen Reid on the ITV soap but the villainous character was murdered in grisly scenes last night.
He will next be appearing on stage in pantomime this Christmas.
He will be swapping Weatherfield for the stage as he makes his Panto debut in Derby Arena’s production of Mother Goose.
Todd is thought to have signed a big money deal to play the Panto’s baddie Demon Vanity in the production.
The role will see him perform a three-week run, starting from 8th December.

Todd told Birmingham Mail: "The last week of November I start rehearsals for panto, which runs the last three weeks of December."
What's more, the excited star announced he has landed yet another stage role.
She said: "And then Bill Kenwright, who was famously an actor in Corrie before he became a massive theatre producer, has just offered me — without even blinking — the Laurence Olivier part in Sleuth.
"That's going to be a tour starting in Windsor and doing a tour around London, and then coming to The Lowry here [in Salford].
"That's going to take me through to the end of June so I'm dead excited about that".
His brand new role comes after his exit aired in the soap last night and viewers have hailed his final scenes.
Bosses recently changed his current storyline which has seen Todd’s character murder three victims.
The serial killer businessman was found out after Street regular Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) discovered the body of Teddy Tompkins, whom Stephen brutally murdered earlier this year, in scenes to be aired in the coming weeks.
The soap star was also spotted filming scenes in which his character is trying to make an escape as he arrives at the airport.
