Coronation Street star Sacha Parkinson reveals she’s engaged as she shows off sparkling ring
CORONATION Street star Sacha Parkinson has revealed she's engaged to her long-term boyfriend after a romantic holiday proposal.
The actress, who is best known for playing Sian Powers on the ITV soap, shared the happy news with her followers on Friday.
Sacha, 31, shared snaps of the special moment, with her husband-to-be getting down on one knee on a luxury yacht to pop the question.
The pair could then be seen hugging tightly as the newly-engaged couple celebrated this huge milestone.
In another picture, Sacha could be seen proudly flashing her sparky diamond engagement ring at the camera.
The TV star wrote: “I knew you were likely to take a wife!

She then followed it with a series of emojis including a blue heart emoji and an engagement ring.
Sacha’s friends and former co-stars were quick to congratulate her on her big news.
Michelle Keegan wrote: “Awwww congratulations my darling! So happy for you.”

Sacha is best known for starring in Coronation Street, but her first big role was in the 2003 Channel 4 adaptation of Jacqueline Wilson's The Illustrated Mum.
In December 2008, it was announced Sacha had bagged a role on the cobbles playing Sian Powers.
She first appeared on screen in January 2009, as a friend of Sophie Webster, played by actress Brooke Vincent.
Sian and Sophie later became the soap's first lesbian couple in the spring of 2010.
Due to the popularity of the storyline, Coronation Street extended Sacha's contract until 2011.
After three years, Sacha made the decision to leave the soap filming her last scenes in November 2011.
In a statement at the time, she said her reason for quitting Corrie was to "work on other projects" .
She was last seen on the soap during a dramatic episode that aired on December 30, 2011.
Her character Sian was due to marry her girlfriend Sophie but called the wedding off after she found out she had been unfaithful.
Sian left Weatherfield for good, devastated at Sophie's betrayal.
Over the years, Sacha has appeared in many high profile TV shows.
After making guest appearances in The Royal, The Street and The Bill she then joined legendary kids show Grange Hill in 2007.
Sacha has also starred in Waterloo Road, Doctors, and Survivors.
