SOAP viewers were shocked to see a fan favourite character back in the Dales after a year of absence.
But the returning icon is thinking about leaving Emmerdale once again after letting their emotions take control.
Danny Miller reprised the role of Aaron Dingle just in time for Super Soap Week as his ITV alter-ego landed himself in trouble.
Aaron was brought back tot he eponymous village by both of his uncles, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Caleb Milligan (Will Ash).
His mother, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) was soon made aware that he was back but the Woolpack bar manager didn't get the family reunion she was holding out hope for.
As regular viewers of the Yorkshire-based drama will remember, Aaron and Chas left things on bad terms when the former decided to exit Emmerdale following his sister Liv Flaherty's tragic death.
More Emmerdale
To top it all off, he couldn't stand the fact his mother was having an affair with Al Chapman behind her then-husband Paddy Kirk's back.
Upon his return, it was revealed that Aaron had stolen money from the mafia and they were on his tail to make him pay.
With his fresh start in Italy not panning out the way he'd hoped, Aaron struggles to find his mark again in Emmerdale next week.
Viewers and Dales residents were also shocked to see Aaron lash out and close himself off from his loved ones - which another member of his family is due to notice in upcoming scenes.
