ITV bosses were reduced to warning the new contestants through the infamous Big Brother house voice.

Spotted during the show's late-night live stream, the star's were given a tongue-lashing after they flaunted an obvious rule - taking off their microphones.

One fan of the show was quick to point out the awkward moment, flocking to social media to detail: "OMG a young sounding big brother voice just told them off for not wearing their mic’s.

"At this rate if I hear the female BB come back on live feed I might pass out."

Another fan of the show gushed in response: "Did u capture it on videooo I’m curious."

A second eagle-eyed and eared viewer penned: "On the Big Brother Live Stream a little while ago, Big Brother reminded HMs to wear their microphones at all times.

"Interestingly, it was the voice of a producer, not the awful new ‘official’ BB voice. For a moment it sounded like the good ol’ days."

A third was less than impressed by the sound quality of the live stream, probably impacted by the housemates antics: "Big Brother live stream sound always cutting out for me."

The iconic reality show returned last week to ITV2 after being off air for nearly five years.

This year's series faces some rigid guidelines though.

Bosses have revealed a strict health and safety package, including registered mental health professionals on hand throughout the series.

All contestants have also undergone a psychological assessment.

A social media blackout has also been imposed, with housemates' friends and family blocked from posting on their social media accounts

The measures are similar to the ones currently being used by Love Island, which also airs on ITV2.
