MAFS couple announce shock split as star tells fans they’re ‘heartbroken’
MARRIED at First Sight Australia stars Melinda Willis and Layton Mills have announced their split.
The TV stars shared a joint statement on Instagram in which they shared a picture from their wedding day.
MAFS Australia 2022 stars Melinda and Layton penned: "Hi all – we wanted to keep this private for the time being, but we have a lot of supporters that are invested in the relationship and owe it to you to be transparent.
"After a lot of thought and consideration, we have sadly decided to both take time apart."
Their post continued: ""We still care very deeply for each other and this doesn't mean our lives can't come back together, but as of now, we think this decision is for the best.
"We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for all your support throughout our journey, it has meant the world to us. We hope you can understand and ask for your kindness and respect during this time."

The pair concluded their statement with a broken-heart emoji.
The news came as a huge shock to their followers, who had seen the couple taking a huge step in their relationship earlier this year.
In a social media clip, beautician Melinda told her fans Layton had relocated to Brisbane to be closer to her.
She said: "I have just driven three-and-a-half hours to come meet this person.
"Layton has officially moved from Sydney and is drivable distance now."
And in August, Layton surprised Melinda with a ring to celebrate their 12 month anniversary since meeting on the show.
Melinda told fans: "On Sunday night we celebrated the 12 month anniversary of Melton.
"Who would have thought! What an absolute crazy ride it's been and you guys have been there with us, through it all."
