Why MAFS’ biggest hell-raisers all follow same ‘risky’ career path – including Ines Basic, who made £40K in a MONTH
STARRING on a reality show can open doors to all sorts of new opportunities, from big brand deals to TV gigs.
But for a surprising number of contestants who walked down the aisle on Married at First Sight, their path to fame has led to OnlyFans.
Interestingly it's usually the more controversial characters who found themselves at the centre of drama on the show that go on to rake it in on the raunchy site.
Ines Basic, branded the villain of her Aussie series after cheating on her husband with another groom, claimed she made over £40K in her first month on the platform.
And Brit Morag Crichton, who caused a dinner party row by claiming another husband had slid into her DMs and came under fire for accusing her own, Luke Dawson, of "not being enough", declared she would prefer to go down the OnlyFans route than "sit there waiting for my next sponsorship to come through on social media".
PR expert Carla Speight says it doesn't surprise her that MAFS stars are using the platform to cash in.

“Married at First Sight doesn't have as big a profile as Love Island, so there won't be any huge six-figure deals for the cast to sign," she explains.
"That said, the brides and grooms can't go back to a normal job without the stigma of reality TV hanging over them.
“Page 3 no longer exists, and OnlyFans is a very good way to make money doing as much or as little as the star feels comfortable with.
"Plus, they'll make more money this way than they would with brand deals.

“Domenica from the Australian version had already been on it before the show, and that set a precedent for other cast members. She showed you could make good money."
But PR and reputation management expert Leon Emirali warns long-term harm to their reputations might become "collateral damage" as a consequence of signing up.
“Reality TV stars can no doubt make a lot of quick and easy money from posting content on platforms such as OnlyFans," he says.
“Rightly or wrongly, there is a perception amongst society about OnlyFans that doesn’t lend credibility or prestige to content creators on the platform.
“MAFS stars should consider that fame from reality TV is fleeting, but content posted on online platforms last forever.
“If they are comfortable with that knowledge, then perhaps the trade-off for their long-term reputation is worth it for the immediate financial returns.”
Here we take a look at the MAFS stars coining it in from getting their kit off.
Morag Crichton
Morag, 33, appeared on the 2021 series, but her marriage to Luke Dawson didn't go well and she ended up single again.
She announced she was joining the site last year as a way to “help pay the bills” - and joked she was surprised none of her nudes had been leaked before.
Alongside her launch post, she wrote: “I'm not looking for a Ferrari or designer handbags because that's not me. I'll still be shopping at Primark until I die! But I'd be happy with £1,000 extra a month.”
She charges £12.19 ($14.99) a month for fans to view her feed on the site, which she promises will be “naughty fun”.
Morag is also a veterinary nurse outside of making her raunchy content.
Gemma Rose
Gemma, 31, found herself at the centre of a controversial love triangle last year when her husband Matt Murray cheated with fellow bride Whitney Hughes.
While Gemma was keen on Matt, he was turned off by her booze-fuelled sexually explicit jokes and innuendos.
She's since turned to OnlyFans to boost her income, announcing her profile on the site with an Instagram story showing her posing in back lacy lingerie.
Gemma charges £10.56 ($12.99) per month and offers cheaper rates if people pay for three or six months up front.
She recently showed off the results of a gastric sleeve op.
Matt Murray
Like his ex Gemma, love cheat Matt, 32, started up an OnlyFans page to supplement his income as a barber and personal trainer.
Sources told he was drawn to the platform after seeing the success “other MAFS stars had achieved”.
Unlike fellow contestants, Matt planned to post thirst trap style photos rather than nude pictures - but it isn't clear if Matt ever did launch the page, as it appears to not exist.
Ines Basic
MAFS Australia star Ines, 33, was one of the show's most controversial brides in 2019, sparking outrage with her savage treatment of husband Bronson and her subsequent affair with Sam.
But Ines is laughing all the way to the bank after joining OnlyFans in 2021, claiming she made a staggering £41,699 in one month.
“My fans are eating up everything I post, I am having to create content daily to keep up with demand, so I'm just working. No time to be spending,” she told .
She admitted she was apprehensive about joining the platform, but her family "fully supported the decision" - and she now wishes she'd "started sooner".
Jessika Power
Another 2019 bride on the Aussie version, Jessika, 31, failed to connect with husband Mick Gould, 35, and ended up having an affair with another groom, Dan Webb, 38.
She too has gone on to make a mint by stripping off for OnlyFans, with reporting she can cash in up to £52,106 on a good month.
Her 'bad' months aren't too bad either, seeing her take home a reported £15,630.
Hayley Vernon
Hayley, 36, appeared on the Australian version in 2020 and was also embroiled in a cheating scandal, having snogged Michael Goonan behind husband David Cannon's back.
She started her OnlyFans around the same time, claiming she made a "bucket-load" of cash in her first month.
Hayley admitted: "It was pretty basic content, because everyone wanted to see the girl that was on telly nude! It was crazy!"
She's proved so popular that in 2022, she was named Australia's Best New Pornstar.
The former bride told The Was: “So I’ve been doing OnlyFans for I’d say two years now and I’ve made over $1.3 million (£678,000). It’s not bad at the end of the day.”
She currently charges £3.39 to join, as she is giving new fans a 35 per cent discount.
Olivia Frazer
Olivia, 29, shot to fame on the Australian version in 2022 when she wed Jackson Lonnie, but later accused the show of "ruining her life".
She was dubbed the season villain after sharing a nude snap of fellow bride Domenica Calarco among the cast, which led to her losing her job as a driving instructor and receiving death threats.
Olivia then signed up to OnlyFans and claims she made £260,532 (AUD$500,000) in just four months, charging a £12.19 per month subscription fee.
Earlier this year she claimed to net £15,666 in one day on the adult platform from sharing an "old blurry lingerie photo from 2016".
She said: "I get so many requests for feet pics, and I don't have the heart to charge extra for feet pics, so I put them on the feed."
Meanwhile Dominica has continued posting on the platform and claims she made enough for a house deposit after the show aired.
Jackson Lonie
Seemingly inspired by his wife's success, Jackson, 32, launched his own OnlyFans account.
Things were going well between him and Olivia, until he was caught kissing another woman outside a bar in Melbourne after she went home early.
Fans then questioned if the cheating scandal was a ploy to promote their raunchy sites.
While he announced his profile in 2022, he doesn't appear to still be on the site.
Alana Lister
Alana, 30, was inspired by co-star Domenica to join the platform after appearing on the show in 2021.
She dumped her show husband Jason Engler after he was accused of making fun of his bisexual co-star Liam Cooper in a video.
She started her profile after losing her teaching job in 2022, and charges just £12.20 for fans to see her explicit content.

She also claimed that to get her to make “penis humiliation” videos.
