Amelia Spencer upset as she gets news about dad Dan in Emmerdale

AMELIA Spencer is left upset after she receives news about dad Dan in Emmerdale.

The teen - played by Daisy Campbell - was left devastated in August when her father was sentenced to eight years in prison.

Dan - played by Liam Fox - had pleaded guilty to manslaughter he punched Amelia's stalker Lloyd after finding him in the village.

However, the one punch saw Lloyd fall back and crack his head on a rock, and he later died in hospital.

Since then, Amelia has been leaning on other Emmerdale villagers for support as she raises baby Esther without Dan there to help her.

But in upcoming scenes, the young mum gets upset when she reads a birthday card from Dan.

Meanwhile, Amelia isn't the only one to receive upsetting news in Emmerdale in the coming days.

Lydia Dingle has been struggling to cope in the aftermath of being raped by her childhood sweetheart Craig Reed.

Despite finally opening up to her family about what happened, Lydia is still a shell of her former self, and concerned husband Sam has no idea what to do for the best to help her.

In upcoming scenes, Lydia is insistent on cleaning the house, while Sam feels lost and helpless, scared to touch his traumatised wife.

When a police officer arrives to update her following Craig's arrest, Lydia is immediately on edge.

Sam is angry and Lydia struggles to hide her disappointment when the officer tells them Craig has been released pending further investigation.
