How Holly Willoughby tried to heal rift with Phillip Schofield within days of his This Morning axe
HOLLY Willoughby reached out to Phillip Schofield after he quit ITV.
The presenter, 42, tried to mend their rift in May when he left This Morning over an affair with a young colleague.
Now Phillip, 61, has got in touch with his former co-host after hearing of an alleged plot to kidnap her.
A source said: “She was concerned about the toll his departure from ITV had taken on him.
“He has now reached out to her after hearing about the incident. She was really happy to hear from him.”
Gavin Plumb, 36, of Essex, is accused of contacting a “hitman” in the US and allegedly making a restraint kit as part of a plan to snatch the mum of three.
Holly has been inundated with support after we revealed details of the alleged plot.
She is likely to be absent from This Morning for weeks and pulled out of a red carpet event in London last night.
