EastEnders’ Kacey Ainsworth announces new acting role as fans demand epic soap return
EASTENDERS' Kacey Ainsworth has announced a new acting role as fans demand an epic return to the soap.
Kacey played Little Mo Slater in EastEnders from 2000 to 2006, but ever since her on-screen son Freddie Slater appeared in Albert Square, viewers have been desperate for her to make an appearance.
Their demands have only got louder this week, after Freddie - played by Bobby Brazier - was arrested for attempted murder after hitting Theo Hawthorne with an iron after he tried to rape Stacey Slater.
At the end of Thursday's episode, Bobby headed off to spend time with his mum after being released on bail, and viewers are hopeful that when he returns, his mum will be with him.
But their cries may be falling on deaf ears as Kacey, 54, has revealed her latest acting project in a post on social media - and it isn't on the BBC show.
Instead, she will be starring in a theatre production of Little Women in Manchester this December.

She captioned the post which featured a picture of the casting line up: "If you want to find me, here I'll be!
"A beautiful adaptation of LITTLE WOMEN @homemcr directed by Brigid Larmour. Perfect for pre Christmas gloriousness. Fri 8 Dec – Sat 23 Dec. Book now."
Last year, Kacey spoke about her feelings on a potential return to EastEnders.
She told The Daily Star: "I've done so much since I've left. I'm a regular in an ITV series [Grantchester], we're onto our seventh series of that.
