THEO Hawthorne was left for dead in Stacey Slater's kitchen after her cousin Freddie caught him trying to rape her.

EastEnders fans are now convinced the teacher will soon try to get revenge on both characters, as he recovers from the brutal attack.

Actor William Ellis made it clear to viewers things were about to take a turn in Theo Hawthorne's storyline.

The creepy teacher has grown obsessed with Stacey Slater (played by Lacey Turner) after spotting her on Secret Cam.

He has continuously tried to get her affection, going as far as to tutor her thirteen-year-old daughter Lily for free.

But when Stacey rejected him, making it clear she felt no attraction towards him, Theo's behaviour spiralled out of control.

After terrorising Stacey, Theo took things to a sickening level this week when he broke into No.31 and tried to rape her.

However, Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) walked into the family home and saved the day by throwing Theo off Stacey.

Sadly, the lad has been haunted by the knowledge his father, Graham Foster, raped his mother Little Mo and exploded at Theo.

Freddie hit his former teacher with an iron and brutally assaulted him before leaving him for dead on the kitchen floor.

Stacey, Freddie and experienced solicitor Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) quickly gathered round to come up with a solid version of events, insisting the youngster attacked Theo in self-defence.

Freddie was arrested in recent scenes of the London-based program and fans are growing concerned Theo may have heard the trio work out what they were about to tell the authorities.

This has led viewers to speculate Theo will survive the attack and use Stacey and Freddie's story against them.

"Ngl I think Theo heard the whole thing and is going to wake up and threaten Stacey with the information", one viewer commented.

Another soon agreed: "Was Theo lying there listening to the conversations?"

"I bet Theo heard Eve there too, so that will come out in the end & there’s also Bobby & Anna seeing Stacey outside Theo’s", a third echoed.

Other fans considered that Theo's attack would lead characters straight into the upcoming Christmas murder mystery which will involve six of Walford's most beloved ladies, including Stacey.

Could Theo be the mystery corpse shown to BBC One viewers in February?

"Theo no doubt heard the whole conversation, will come round, twist it. I’m wondering if the six are connected through domestic violence/ attempted rape", one fan wrote.

"Stacey and Suki recently, Kathy and Linda historically, Denise abusive husbands, Sharon storyline coming up?"

Another jumped in: "Theo is alive & will have his final showdown with Stacey at Xmas time."
