Dancing on Ice’s eighth contestant revealed as TV comedian
DANCING On Ice's newest contestant has been revealed as stand-up comedian Lou Sanders.
The latest celebrity name was announced by Nihal Arthanayake on BBC Radio 5 Live this afternoon.
Lou, 37, told the radio host that Dancing On Ice - ITV's long-running answer to Strictly - was her "dream thing to do".
She said: "I like physical adventure," before adding: "That sounds rude."
The comedian explained: “I’m nervous about cracking my head open, or just bashing the old head. I can’t afford to lose any more brain cells.
"I’m also worried about my partner picking me up, he’s going to have to be very strong and very brave.”

The comic, who has appeared on shows including Mock The Week and 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, said training will begin next week.
She will join a line-up that includes boxer Ricky Hatton, Gogglebox's Stephen Webb and S Club singer Hannah Spearritt.
Other stars include reality TV personality Miles Nazaire, actress Claire Sweeney, Olympics hero Greg Rutherford, Love Islander Amber Davies.
Announcing her time on Dancing on Ice this afternoon, Lou explained: "Whizzing around, spinning - there is so much to look forward to.
"I was sick on the waltzers once. My dance partner's got so much to look forward to."
