Naked Attraction boss reveals reality of nude auditions – and most shocking contestant in show’s history
IN the wake of Naked Attraction coming to the US for the first time, a show boss has opened up about the programme's audition process.
HBO Max will be airing the controversial dating show across the Atlantic and US fans have been going wild for the unusual format which lets 'pickers' select a date based on what the candidates look like naked.
The show's executive producer Darrell Olsen revealed there is a process bosses use to determine if someone is cut out for the programme.
But it's not about how they look with no clothes on.
He shared that the most important part of the audition is seeing if potential candidates have the confidence to go nude in front of other people and talk openly about their bodies.
He told the : "Being naked on national TV is a huge deal for people. The point of getting naked during the audition is if you can’t do it in front of a couple production people, you’re going to have a really hard time on the actual show.

"Also, part of it is for people to be able to describe their own bodies and what they like and dislike about themselves.
"Also, for us to get a sense of their energy and if they can make jokes. So if they’re too reticent, they’re not right.
"Casting is a tough job. But we have a brilliant team, and they always managed to find great people."
He admitted that more people do drop out during the casting process than in other dating shows, but it is rare for that to happen minutes before the programme goes live.

Darrell also shared that the Channel 4 show is very vigilant when it comes to doing background checks on contestants and providing them with emotional support during the filming process.
When asked about the most surprising moment he's experienced on Naked Attraction, he joked that it involved a woman who thought her pet had a good nose for potential partners.
He laughed: "We had one Picker who brought in her dog to help her pick one of her dates, because she thinks the dog can sniff out a good date for her.
"Humans are weird and wonderful creatures, you know? It’s like, nothing shocks anymore."
